In Her Light X is painted with acrylics on a 20 × 20 cm deep edged canvas. I reused leftover paint for the base colour of this piece, as I try to reuse materials wherever I can. I love these colours, and I’ve also incorporated a mirror gathered in Punjab.
The design draws from my hand-painted bookmarks, forming a study of colour, pattern, and reflection. Hand-painted elements sit alongside embedded mirrors, exploring memory, presence, and adornment through the movement of natural light.
